what is required to be inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame?

You either have to sell lots and lots of albums or have a really big impact on music, theoretically. And, you have to wait 25 years after your first album was released to be qualified.Thus, Nirvana will probably get inducted even though they only had 3 albums, but the impacted music more that any other band in music history, arguably. But R E M is being inudcted this year and they didn't to either of those things. And that pisses me off damnit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
