my babies moving has decreased a lot lately. They say its normal towards the end of the pregnancy, but usually around which week? And today baby has moved only like 3 or 4 times all day. I drank a lot of water and layed on my left side. Not to much is happenning.. Right now he has the hiccups. I can feel them :-) Is it normal for him not to move this much?

you should be able to feel at least 4 movements an hour, and if not, at least 10 in two hours. if youre not then you should call your doc.
the movements change as the baby grows, but they should never get below this number. try fruit juice and laying down. i don't know if hiccups count....

i can't believe so many others are telling you not to worry! that is not okay! ask your doctor to make sure, but you should be doing fetal kick counts, and 10 in 2 hours is the LOWEST number you should feel, and if you don't then you call your doc! good god, i'm kind of a worry wart, but i think this is a pretty important one!
i'd call to make sure. you'll feel better whether you turn out to be fine or not.

I had the same concern at 32 weeks and called my doc. They had me go to the hospital for what's called a non-stress test. It determines how much the baby's moving and if you're starting to have contractions. (Yes, it's possibile to have contractions and not feel them.) While a decrease in movement may be normal in some cases toward the end of pregnancy, it can also be a sign that something could possibly (though not necessarily) be wrong. Stay calm, but call your doctor. Let him/her know that you're concerned about this change and let them decide if it's worth worrying about.

Honestly, my son didn't move much when I was pregnant and I didn't think much of it until I saw the "ER" show in which Carter lost his child when his fiancee was 8 months and he noticed it because the baby wasn't moving much. Then I thought I should have said something to the doctor. Interestingly, my son had a lot of hiccups on the inside, too. I would just let the doctor know your concern. He might have you have a sonogram or something to be sure. I think maybe I had so many of them while I was pregnant because I had so many problems while I was pregnant--he didn't; it was all me--that I knew he was OK most of the time.

Yeah it's just fine! I just got done with a full term baby two months ago and she did the same thing! They have less room to move! Besides they are getting ready and the head could already be down in position! Don't worry! I know it's hard not to but if it makes you feel any better get a machine that they sell at wal-mart and k-marts for like 20 dollars where you can hear the heart beat! Congradulations! Good luck!

Each baby is different, but they have less and less room with each passing week and to know the exact week that they slow down is not possible. Yes it is very normal and he is probably moving more than you think you are just getting use to the movements and aren't feeling them as much now-- that is until he sticks his heel in your ribs or on your bladder.

I'm 34+weeks and have to make sure i feel baby move/kick 10times a day,if i do not i have to contact the hospital/midwife or doctor to be checked. babies do slow down towards the end but you should still get some strong movements.

Both of my kids stopped moving so much around the same time as you are experiencing. I used to sit at night and poke at my belly. You can buy the heart monitor to try to listen in for the heartbeat too. But I had a hard time hearing that sometimes too. They drive you crazy from the moment you conceive!!! If you are still concerned, see your doctor and they will listen in.

if u think ur baby's movements have slowed down or changed

Ask your practitioner what kinds of changes she'd like you to be on the lookout for. In general, you should let her know anytime you've noticed an absence or slowdown of fetal movement. Your baby may simply be in a different position, but she might also be in distress. Your caregiver may have you come in for a non-stress test or biophysical profile to check on your baby.

Good Luck with everything :)

I dropped 2 weeks in the past, am 38.5 weeks pregnant, and am nevertheless purely 1cm dilated. yet, that's an engaging factor meaning your physique is preparing for the infant to reach in the subsequent month or 2! :)

yes its normal.. and 33 weeks is about when you notice it.. they just run out of room..The baby grows and there is also a decrease in amniotic fluid.. If you are ever concerned eat some sweets and lie down.. the sugar will give the baby a "boost" LOL

and enjoy your last few weeks.. I love being pregnant.. Good Luck and Congrats!!
