Backup is a security copy for your important files.
To keep your files safe, you need pray to Saint Backup all days.
I use the Mozy, a free online service to pray in my name 2 or 3 times by day:

I believe Mozy can pray for you too.

It means that if you don't backup your data it is the data you don't care about. For any of several reasons (viruses, hardware problems, software problems) you can lose your data. So if you have data that you don't want to lose I recommend you to use backup software. I use Acronis True Image Home 10.0. With this program I store important data on my external drive. True Image has a scheduler that will backup your data as often as you want. I think True Image is the fastest and most effective backup software for now. You can learn more about True Image here:

In English: a backup is a copy of a file preferably stored on a second device like a CD/RW, external hard drive, flashdrive ...
In the event of a system crash, you will be able to install on a new PC all programs for which you have the install CD, but any files you created will be lost -- hence, a backup copy.
Flashdrives have come way down in price, are easy to use and very transportable. Simply plug it in to a USB port on your PC and copy, then paste a file to it.

Hardware is not 100% perfect at storing data.
It is close but there can be billions and billions of bits.
Occasionally a bit or a few bits become corrupted (incorrect) for various reasons.
Occasionally a user might inadvertently delete the wrong file.
The verb "backup" means to create a copy of digital data.
The noun "backup" is that copy
If the original becomes lost it can be restored (from the backed up copy.)
Depending on the amount of data to be backed up (copied) you can use various things like a floppy drive (for small amounts) CD or DVD burner (get a DVD burner; as they are almost as cheap as a CD burner (and they can burn CDs as well).)
You can copy data to another computer, another folder (sub-directory), another drive letter, USB flash drive, sd card, or mp3 player.

The most convenient way to back up data is with a CD or DVD burner. If you don't have one, you certainly should get one. The burner should have come with software that allows you to do backups with only a few mouse clicks.
A USB hard drive would do the trick as well.
The very least you should do is back up My Documents, but if you have any other folders that you save data to, you should back those up as well.

Get a duplicate of Norton Ghost (acquire a loose reproduction). in case you have an exterior own mediacontinual from HP or another USB externalcontinual plug it in. Then run Ghost. it is going to diminish back up your total device, classes and putting and documents. in simple terms attempting to repeat to acontinual isn't too useful, via fact there are impediments to doing the whole device till you're making use of a application this is somewhat geared to doing that.
