You must have been watching the Discovery Channel's "Deadliest Catch" series. Good money in crab fishing but dangerous!

Do what the other newbies do. Go up a few months before the season kicks in and start talking to the captains to see if any will hire you on.

Go to Kodiak Alaska.

They have a huge fishing port there and you can sign on to a boat and away you go.
