I like the song and the music and the guitars...yet I don't feel like figuring out what he is singing about...help please....thanks.
What current bands resemble the sound of Metallica....so, if I like metallica what are some current bands I would like.

A young boy grows up oppressed by the system, his parents, or some other overbearing authority figure. His will was crushed. He grew old and prepares to die, regretting the things he never did because he didn't have the drive any longer.
You might like Disturbed or Buckcherry.

It's not that hard to figure out unless you see some hidden message to it. The song says exactly what it is. Basically a tyrant takes the person from the start. The person grows old doing what he has to do to stay alive until he becomes an old man. That old man no longer cares.

No one else sounds like Metallica, totally unique group. They were called "Thrash Metal" but no other thrash metal groups sound like them. Unforgiven is about a kid who is treated like trash from birth just because, I dont know why but he has a harsh life, thats all I know.

To respond to fuzzy liza, Metallica is very plain boring and blah. They have no creativity and there is nothing unique about their music. But, I don't know what that song is about.
