i woke up this morning..my ears were fine. but i got into the car started going someone and suddenly my right ear just started to clog up. and i thought maybe it was just something in my ear so i lightly wiggled my finger but i still couldn't hear. and i tryed to clean it out without using ear swabs [cause i don't have them with me in the car]

at first i could hear again...then it went back to the same place as it was.

am i going permantly deaf in one ear?
did i do something to it?
and if so....how??

or is this something that's going to go away?

Go see an ear, nose and throat specialist.

Vast, vast, vast....no one knows for sure, but tests should be done and that doctor will tell you.

Chances are that it is something minor like a wax build-up, or Eustachian tube dysfunction causing negative air pressure in the middle ear space. However, there is also the chance that it could be something more serious with potential long-term consequences. For some types of sudden hearing loss, you need to start treatment as soon as possible in order to improve the chances that you will fully regain your hearing.

Schedule a visit with an Ear specialist - including a hearing evaluation - in order to ensure that you are accurately diagnosed and properly treated.

Calm down!!!

It's probably just ear wax that has clogged up. Put a few drops of ear wax remover (Walmart/drug store/grocery store) in your ear and see if that will make the wax loosen up and run out. If it gets a bit better, than you'll know that it isnt deafness. If you notice the wax is crystal hard and your hearing hasnt returned to normal, you may want to make an appt to see your family doctor so he/she can pump the wax out of your ear. It is not painful at all!

Wet your pinky slightly and stick your pinky in your ear, then grab your lobe at the bottom and pull down while you push and pull your pinky in your ear in and out and then pull out fast to see it that allows you to change your hearing quality. Then if it does, attempt to do it again only twist your pinky so as to make contact with some of the wax and gradually retrieve it from your ear. If this doesnt work, try an ear syringe and suck it out. If that doesnt work use an ear wax softener first then do it. Some I have known to use hot dishwashing detergent mixture as a last resort flushing the ear canal with some of that and fairly hot water, not scalding. If you are a child ....talk to your parents. Do not get cotton stuck in your ear!

This is something I can relate to. When I get a bad sinus infection, both of my ears will clog up, one at a time. It sounds like you've got something clogging up the plumbing in your ear. I don't know if you suffer seasonal allergies, or if you are coming down with a cold, but you may want to find yourself a sinus medication (over-the-counter), that will dry them up. That may help. If not, go see your doctor--you may be developing an ear infection.

You may have an ear infection, if not treated it can lead to deafness. So you should go get it checked out
