You have a prety good idea about new retail, but maybe I could suggest you watch the want ads in you local paper or independent sales ads. Yard slaes of course are a good source of smaller tanks, but even at those you occasionally find larger tanks. I bought a 135 gallon at a yard sale for $175 once, so it does happen.

It depends on where you look. I recently bought a 60 gallon aquarium with a nice blonde wood cabinet stand for $80 from a guy on Craigslist. This package was originally around $300 new. You can find some really great deals on Craigslist if you are patient and keep looking. I found some deals on there that, for $150, I could've bought a 100 gallon aqaurium, but I don't have the room for that size anyway. So, it depends on where you look.

I got a 28 gallon aquarium pack with all of the accessories - filter, light, water conditioner, heater, ect at Petsmart. After buying the fish it came out to be about $150. I'm not sure about single aquariums without the accessories, though.

Do you mean new? And do you want just the tank? There's a website that I order from that has a 75 gallon for $141.99, but you'd have to pay shipping, which could be a bit on a glass tank: http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/GlassAquariumListing.web#pTanks Maybe you'll be lucky and live close enough to pick it up yourself.
WalMart has 55s (kit with filter, etc.) for about that.
If you aren't against used, you can also try ebay, craigslist.com, kingsnake.com (classifieds), aquarium clubs/societies, and petstores - sometimes they put together displays for the store, pet shows, etc. and sell the "used" equipment. just make sure it holds water before you buy!

There are a few ways you can go. If you want a new one you can get about a 25 gal with all assories for 150.00. Or you can call local pet shops, they get rid of used ones offten. I was able to buy a 76 gal for 50 bucks. Also wait untill summer and check out yard sells. If you get a used one go to the pet store and get cleaners, do not use regular household cleaners in it. Building your own stand will save you money too. Good luck.

Hi! At Walmart they have an AMAZING 55 gallon tank for about $100.00 and for the rest of your $50.00 you can get gravel and decorations but the tank comes with tons of stuff already! It is a GREAT deal!

This biggest acquarium that I'm aware of that you may get for $150.00 is probably Shamoo's tank at Seaworld in Orlando. If you hope to get it for that price, I suggest that you ask nicely. Good luck!
