You should go to Havana, the capatil it is a smooth, cool city like me. You should by the lonely planet guide to cuba which is full of great ideas

www.lonelyplanet.com/worldguide/destinations/caribbean/cuba/

Here is a link to the Cuba Tourism site www.cuba.com and here is another site for you to look at www.cubaweb.cu

Have fun I want to go there too. For an exciting adventure, why not try to enter Cuba illegally from Florida Keys, that would be cool.

Just by being in Cuba you are contributing to tourism. Every dollar you spend goes to the government, or at least most of it due to the high sanctions and regulations for those operating legal businesses. To feel if your giving back to the cuban people moreso international corporations, stay in a casa particular vs a large hotel. Also try eating at local restarants (which are usually housed inside of houses). Bring items that we get so easily in elsewhere, books, tolietries, over the counter medications...Check out these websites:

To me it wasnt clear if you just want to do adventure like things or want to contribute to tourism, but the links gives you information on both.

You cannot do anything for tourism, unless you are a tourist spending your own money.

Only Cubans can work in Tourism, or those that are sponsored from a foreign company that is permitted to operate in Cuba. Cuba is very particular about who makes money and how in Cuba. They have this thing where they don't want anyone, edxcept for Cubans to earn money from their largest revenue generating industry.

Darn that Castro....there he goes protecting his people from foreign scavengers.

there are so many things you can do. There are beaches, caves, mountains, tobacco fields. The Indian village "Guama" is interesting. "Las Cuevas de Bella Mar" (At any given time on a different part of the island you could be doing something different.) I left some links for some good sites below. Have fun above all !!

Americans cannot legally travel to Cuba. But don't waste your time on crap you can do in America. Try Cuban Cigars and Rum. That you can't get in American. Then try to float on a raft to Florida.
