Taco Bell's food IS safe. Green Onions have not been in Taco Bell restuaraunts for weeks. And as for the lettuce--good example of the media taking one incident and twisting it into something else that's false. Taco Bell no loger excepts any produce from the farm under suspicion as a precautionary measure)...if that makes you feel any better. Of course, you can always hold the lettuce.

i have worked at Toxic Hell off and on since i was 16. and i can tell you and everyone else that the meat is disgusting. I never ate the ground beef, will never eat meat that has to be cooked in a bag in boiling water. but the main reason people were getting sick was b/c that ecoli out break, it just so happened that taco bell got their lettuce from one of the distributors that sent out the affected lettuce. other than that if you have gotten sick or anyone else chances are that the meat had been sitting in the pan for too long and dropped below the temp 165* and that can cause bacteria to grow on the food in turn making you ill or resulting in food poisoning.

a few months back their was some e-coli or some other kind of bacteria found in the lettuce and bell peppers in a restaurant up north and made a few people sick. They found the source in California i believe and fixed the problem. taco bell is safe, some people just have to go to the bathroom a while after eating it, maybe its the grease that gets them.

A while back there were some ppl that were hospitalized with Ecoli after eating at Taco Bell. The lettuce was bad, but from what I have heard, from a Taco Bell employee, they have switched lettuce.

Well really, is McDonald's even really safe? With all the fat and grease they put on their burgers and fries. Just about any fast food restaurant is bad for your health. I worked at Taco Bell once, and you want to know what the beans are before put into your bean burrito? They are brown flakes, and when you add water and stir, they become "re fried beans"... I think so far, Subway is the best place to eat, just watch what you put on it (mayo. mustard and so on.)

I heard from a worker that they used Grade E meat - which is the lowest grade meat allowed for public consumption.
After eating some the other day and being sick the rest of the afternoon - I can believe it. There is a reason why some things are cheap...............
