Maybe if you are friends with him they will realize he's not a bad guy. You should definetly be friends with him.

If you want to be friends with him be friends. The important thing is that you are not becoming his friend out of pity, however. That will not support a friendship. As if other people make fun of you, then what kind of friends would they have been anyways. Just remember, just because you make friends with this "loser" and "loner" does not mean you have to become like him. Make sure he is being a good friend, as you are. Friendship goes both ways.

Kids can be horrible and mean! If you want to be friends I say GO FOR IT! Kids as young as you do not realize that it does not matter what others think of you. All that matters is you are happy doing what you are doing. Usually kids who pick on others are lacking something, such as self-esteem. They only make fun of others because they are jealous or it's the only way they feel good about themselves. Everyone deserves a friend, and I'm sure you would be a great one! Who knows? Maybe your new friend could be a great person and the famous movie star down the road, and guess what? You will be his friend who might get sme extra perks!

You have to decide what's more important to you. Frankly, if you just feel sorry for him, that's not a good reason to be friends. You can be friendly with him, and give him a break, but get to know him, and see if you would even get along as friends first. As far as people making fun of you, I doubt that will happen, but you know people at your school better than I do. Your friends shouldn't be a problem, and you shouldn't care what anyone else thinks. If they make fun of you, then you'll know that they are losers who are just trying to make themselves feel better. Ignore them. I know it's hard to ignore peer pressure at this age, but people do it every day, and I think you would be proud of yourself to do the right thing and not be so shallow.

Your on the right track wanting to be this guys friend. Standing up for him is a noble thing to do. But if your going to be his friend you have to realize that it may be harder on you then you think, so don't toy with this guys emotions if your going to ignore him the next day. Word of advice...sometimes those guys are resentful of new people...they feel they are being made fun of when people try to get close. So proceed with caution, don't care what other people say. Your the better person b/c of it.

Sounds like you're tough and can stand against those who make fun of you. Who cares what they think. Be a good person and make friends with the loner. n

I'm eleven, yet I strangely know all this stuff about beauty, relationship that I didn't study yet...ANYWAY,,, I think you should stand up for him. Even though your classmates think that you may be weird or strange, I KNOW you should be his friend because he's going to be a great guy and you may be the best of friends. If they make fun of you, who cares? You should march up to them and state that he's a great guy who has a great personality unlike them. You should just go with your gut feeling and what you feel the right thing to do is. Trust me, do the right thing and you'll feel better.

Yes, you need to be his friend, that is nice of you. When you do, it makes you a better person than the ones that make fun of him. If they make fun of you too, it is their loss, your a good person and ignore them others, they are the real loser, not you and certainly not the guy they make fun of.

be his friend. you won't regret it in the long run, if you're friends with someone just so that you're liked by other people, then you'll never know what a real friendship is. if they make fun of you...so what, they're just doing that to make themselves feel better because they are afraid of being different. i guarantee that you'll become a better person for it, and maybe everyone else can learn from you.
