If I tested today and it was neg or tomorrow and it is negative, is it most likely I am not pregnant? I am suppose to start my period on the 16th. I also know exactly when I ovulated, on the 3rd of Feb. and we had intercourse the three days before and on that day, unprotected. So should a test show positive by tomorrow?

Or do most women who are actually pregnant have to wait longer to test even if they use a test like First Response early testing?

You will get the best results by waiting until the day your period is due. You MIGHT get a positive now, but it's best to wait.

I took an early response test two days before my period was due and it was negative. But my period never started! Took the test again a week later and it was positive. That was my second child. With my first child the pregnancy test was strongly positive 1 day before my period was due.

I would wait. You will probably just waste a pregnancy test taking it so early.

You could give it a try, but don't be surprised if it tells you you aren't pregnant and it ends up that you are. It usually takes 8 days from fertilization to implantation. If it is only 9 days past ovulation and you are pregnant, the HCG hormone that the test measures may still be such a small amount that it might not be enough yet. It might, though. with those early tests. Good luck!

Chill out, just wait for your missed period, taking tests over and over will not make you pregnant. No matter how many you take it won't change the result. I know it is hard to be patient when you really want a baby, but it is just a waste of money to keep taking tests day after day.

9 dpo is pretty early. You really need to wait until you've missed your period.
