split bedroom should say split bedrooms. The master suit is on one side of the house and the other bedrooms are on the far side.
Gives you more privacy than rooms together.

It means that the master bedroom is on the opposite side of the house than the other bedrooms, or that the master is on the first floor & the other bedrooms are on the second floor. I have a ranch style home & a split bedroom plan. It's nice, the kids are near but not right next to us... We previously had a split bedroom plan on a 2-story home & hated it. Of course I had a newborn and a 2 year old, it would be nice with older kids.

I don't have the split plan that allows you to be away from the others. It is ok but I'd rather the split. But I don't have very many years before the extra rooms are just guest rooms and then there would be no problem with it. The non split plan does help you keep an eye on them easier though. If the kids aren't sleeping when you told them to you can hear them and correct it faster sometimes without getting out of bed.. LOL

Hope you choose the best plan for you..
