i didn't like this movie. i can see how it's worthy of awards. it had serious issues that it addresses, and i applaud the director for that. but the movie was still not enjoyable.

there were no characters that i connected with. they were all quite selfish and self-centered. (well, the hispanic fellow who worked on the doorlocks wasn't annoying. he was the only one i felt any sympathy for.)

the movie did an excellent job illustrating how racism sneaks around in various forms. if anyone had an security blanket, this movie steals it from you. it leaves you feeling vulnerable and guilty simultaneously. you feel like the victim and the racist.

racism is an ugly thing. and i guess it's hard to make a movie about racism not as ugly without all the hollywood frills and happy endings.

this movie is worth a watch, but i doubt i'll be inclined to watch it again.

It highlighted racism, but because it won an Oscar, everyone felt they could just walk away from the subject.
The same happened with homosexuality in Philadelphia and Brokeback Mountain.
Hollywood will not court controversy.
Even films such as The Woodman was backed by an independent studio.
I feel they should be telling us more about race and sexuality, rather than produce films about alcoholism, and unrequited love.
The Hollywood Studio bosses are a bunch of money grabbing t*ossers, who care only for a films success financially, than they do about its social impact.
It's disgraceful.

a million. It´s the religion area of the action picture, have faith or no longer, the Persian guy desires something to have faith in a land the place the definitely everyone seems to be killing themselves (he sell weapons), and he observed how the little female don´t go through any harm or soreness, and that´s the reason he start to have faith. no person gets harm interior the scene. 2.- The symbolism is the main suitable character of the action picture: l. a., there are a number of characters however the city is what the action picture communicate approximately. 3.- I value the action picture with 3 and a million/2 stars of 5, i think of it´s a solid action picture, with a deep message of the human family members and the meaning of the violence.

Crash was such a bad movie. The characters were so one dimensional. It was like a cheesy, melodramatic TV movie.

And on that note...Babel is the worst movie of 2006. What is wrong with this Country lately? Are we all starting to become stupid?

I loved Crash. I think it says a lot about our society that everyone can be racist, not just people who have power. It doesn't really make anyone better or worse, if you are racist, you need to open up your mind, no matter where you stand economically.

i guess it does address racism and shows that it's still around today. i didn't really care for the movie though. i mean, i don't think it deserved "best picture". what i don't understand is that blacks aren't the only people who are affected by racism. i'm chinese and when my mom was going to college in georgia, some white and black people would discriminate against her and her friends.
