Spotting for a month ? Is something wrong or is it normal because I skipped a period?

Around the holidays, I decided that I didnt want a period. So I started a new pack of pills the next day the one I was using ended. So I skipped a period. The month After that, I was ok, but now I have been spotting all month long, as if I have a light period. what is going on ?
