Was Cinco Ranch really a ranch of any note? Aside from the area marketing history, there is no records of a Cinco Ranch in local or State history guides.

Lived in Houston all my life. there are many working ranches in Texas but no Cinco Ranch, that's just the trendy name of a sub division ... nice homes, but no ranch. no cows in sight, no horses,,just big brick houses right next door to one another . No, it is not a ranch at all. Just a developer's dream.

Cinco Ranch was named after the fact that there were at one time 5 ranches that comprised the area that the community was built on.
