My Grand-father was a freemanson, but he'd nevered talked about it.

I dont know what a Freemanson is, but you might be meaning a freemason. There are a couple of ways of becoming a mason and some pre-requisites.

1) You must be a male
2) You must be over 18
3) You may or may not need two masons to "vouch" for you.

My Papaw was a Free Mason. You have to be sponsored by someone. Then you have to pass initiation. Good luck.

You have to believe in God, be a good person and at least 18 years old. Better if you are introduced by another freemason.

my husband is a mason, it is not something they talk about it is a secret order , you have to petition the lodge and then they will vote on you ,but, you have to have someone that you know that is in there now and they will recommend you .then they will vote if you are black balled you are out and only one has the black ball
