My wife wants to go to her friends house tomorrow night and she wants to stay out til 10:00 p.m. I'm thinking that is way too late because I've got to get up to go to work at 6:00 a.m. I was thinking 8:00 but now she is kind of whiny saying I am not fair....Am I really being unfair?

Umm, if you're old enough to accept the responsibility of being married, then you're probably old enough to stay out as late as you want.

If you put a curfew on your wife, she may not be your wife much longer.

what difference does it make if YOU have to get up at 6 am? My husband gets up early too, and I'm "allowed" to stay out as late as I want. Not that I NEED a curfew, I am a grown woman and so if your wife.

8pm is a bit late, especially if you have to wake up at 6am. When she comes home from her friend's house she will have to make you some bedtime snacks and pleasure you before you retire to bed for the eveneing. Also, she will have to wake up earlier than 6am because she should make you breakfast and iron your clothes for the day. Personally, I would expect a curfew of 7pm...maybe 7:30 if you want to be nice.

Yes you're being unfair. What does her coming home later have to do with you waking up early? What century do you live in?

well, giving your WIFE a curfew is probably a little too paternalistic and, thus NOT a good idea. why don't you decide the issue like adults and treat her like your WIFE, not your DAUGHTER...

well is there any way you both can compromise? she wants 10 o'clock and you want 8 o'clock. So maybe you could leave at 9 o'clock.

Or if you have separate cars you can both leave at the times you both want.

After all your both adults and should be able to make your own decisions but compromising is also something that is very important in every relationship.

Helllllooooo...it's the 21st century, your wife does NOT need to have your permission to stay out until 10. She can stay out as late as she wants.
