Personally no, and I'll tell you why. If there was a whole month dedicated to white history, everyone would get upset. If everyone wants the whole racial card to be dropped, then months, days or anything else should not be dedicated to any specific race. The past was the past, none of us were alive then, and we cant help anything that happened during it by our ancestors.

They were slaves for a lot of years, they suffered and still are suffering by racist people, but also they are suffering by new issues... like problems of identity, like the questions that sometimes they do to themselves like "why should we straight our hair", or dye it, or why black men prefer go with light skinned women, etc. and things like that, so why shouldn't they have a whole month dedicated to them????????? I think they deserve something more than a month dedicated to them, they deserve also a better treat from anyone and also a better life!

The history of African Americans has shown its noteworthiness to the prosperity of this country and should be celebrated daily. Black History Month is a time for many people to sit and reflect on the past and current struggles of African Americans. For some it is a time of mourning and others celebration.

hey, there is this bar at the top of the page that says "discover". that means if a question has been asked before, you can go there and see the answers before you waste 5 points on stuff that's been covered. unless you just like hearing people b*tch about other races.

to answer your question, yes, at least until they start representing black culture fairly and accurately in american/world history.

2 points please and thank you.

No. It discriminates against all of the other races. How come there isn't an Asian history month? I think that all other cultures should be treated equally- either all races get their own month or none do.
