No way. You decide if she deserves it or not. Tell her she needs to work harder for a raise in her allowance.

I would think you would naturally give your wife more than that you can't even buy a tank of gass for that hardly any more. Actually I'm not sure what "allowance" you give yourself every month but if its more than that...y don't you try that amount. You wife is not a child why is she on an allowance in the first place?

Are you sure this is your wife and not your child???!!!! I've never had to work in my marriage and I sure as heck would never be on an allowance, I spend what I want when I want! $60 bucks a month, give me a break, I spend that much on each of my dogs to get groomed every month. What a tight wad!

My first question to you is do you have kids? If so she works alot harder than you and deserves more than a measly 50 bucks period. Your money, pays for water for her to take a bath, eat and cook your food. I find you to be very selfish and if she had any sense, she'd go out and get a job so she can leave your cheap butt.

I would have came to you with divorce papers. She is not your child she is your spouse, and if she ever left you, you would probably be paying more than that when the divorce was finalized. Show her some respect and start treating her as your wife not hired help.

If she's your wife, it is her money too. If she needs spending money and you can't afford it let her know. The same should go for you though! Marriage is supposed to be a partnership. It sounds like you are trying to be her DADDY!
