I know I'm gonna get thumbs-down for this, but it's my opinion, and you asked.
The best form of music is when it is performed by the person who wrote it. I get perturbed by singers who call themselves "artists" when they haven't actually CREATED any art, they simply buy a song from an artist, then perform. Those singers are not artists, they are performers.
