I have never heard of a particular apple for acid reflux problems, but apple cider vinegar works great. I purchase a product called Bragg organic apple cider vinegar at my local supermarket in the health and natural food section.
It is actually raw, unfiltered and contains the "mother," which means that it has the naturally occurring strand like chains of protein enzyme molecules which make it work quickly, and break down easily in your digestive tract. The apples that it is made up of are 100% organic.
The vinegar actually works in your stomach to replace acid that is not being produced in the correct quanity for your body and digestive tract. The majority of reflux is caused because your stomach is unable to process the food you are consuming.
I started taking a couple of spoonfuls of the cider vinegar every morning, and before I know that I am going to be eating a big meal and very rarely have any reflex or indigestion problems.
This is a big change from a couple of years ago, when I was practically eating any reflux product on an hourly basis. Many of those products actually shut down more acid production, which makes it even more difficult for the digestive process to take place.
You can significantly cut down on reflux by eliminating margarine and other trans fats from your diet. I would rather have a smaller amount of real butter, than put all those synthetics in my body.
If you do not like the taste of the cider vinegar on its own, you can stir it into a glass of cold water and add a touch of honey to the mix. Hope that this helps and have a good night.

Yes apple cider vinegar does work for some people. and apples the reason apples can be recommended for this is that apples contain pectin this is a fiber that binds to bile acid and turns it into gel and then is excreted out of the body in the stools also the malic acid in apples is very helpful, all around is been recommended for digestive problems in Chinese medicine .One good way to used it is if you juiced the apples fresh and drink it fresh apple juice contain the pectin and allot of pulp also organic apple cider will do .One of the reasons with acid reflux can be the gallbladder not working properly

That would be apple cider! 2 Tablespoons of Apple cider vinegar, when taken with an 8 oz glass of water and sweetened lightly with 1 teaspoon of honey will alkalinize the stomach acid as well as the blood. This is a quick remedy, but the best thing to do is to stay away from tomatoes, refined sugars and flours and watch your salt intake. Change from hard salt to sea salt and that should help the most. Good luck!
