I usually just say good but I've had people take 10 minutes to tell me honestly when I really didn't care how they were doing.

I usually say "good".... otherwise, they'd be there for a few minutes, lol.

I usually ask them if they really want to know. Cause I could go on and on if they really were interested. Most of the time I just say fine and get on with my life. People are not that caring. They only say how are you? because it is the polite thing to say.

There's only two people who I answer honestly to. My girlfriend and my dearest best friend in the world. She's like my big sister. These two ladies know everything about me and they are always there for me. Everyone else, I just say I'm fine and walk on.

I usually just say I'm doing good. Unless its a close friend or family member that I can vent on. Of course it would have to be someone that I know would actually care to listen.

It depends who the person is. If it's one of my family members, I tell them the truth. If it's some one I really don't know, I just tell them I'm fine.

Yeah...
We all say "good" or "fine, how are you?"
But then I personally always immediately interject my saga, albeit rare. No sense in being just outright fake about it.
