It is a real university but not recognized by many employers as a great university. If you're applying for a job, for example, the employer will take a graduate from a more recognized school, such as Ohio State over you. Its not to say Phoenix is bad, it is a real degree. If you are looking for online courses, there are much better schools out there. I am attending Baker Online and it is a real good school, and less expensive.

By the way, I am talking about the online University of Phoenix, not the actual campus. Online schools, in general, are often looked down upon by employers.

You're right Mark.....Like I said, I am attending an online school now, and for me it is much more difficult than on campus, but I am learning more. I think it is very good anyway.

I am also originally from Arizona, born in Tucson, and lived in Phoenix.

Yes, the University of Phoenix is a real college, with many classes to choose from as a major. I lived very close to the campus in Phoenix. It also has an excellent Online University, fully accredited.

Yes it is definitely a real university. It will take time for people to get over their pretentious, negative attitudes regarding online learning. Distance learning in Europe for instance seems to have been more accepted for years compared to the USA.
