i play basketball and during a game, i ran into a girl really hard. ever since then, the left side of my ribs (only) hurt!i havent gotten injured. i was not hurt during the game. my ribs hurt wen i cough, or laugh and i dont kno why!

you may have a cracked rib

It may be a lung or liver problem. The organ has become enlarged for some reason & is pressing itself against your ribs or your solar plexus. See a doctor immediately.

You may have compressed ribs. I had them from a fall and they felt bruised and sore to the touch for a couple of weeks. Good luck.
