I think you are getting ethnicity and race confused. Hispanic is not a race, rather it is a culture and ethnicity. While White, is a race. Therefore, it is possible to be both Hispanic and white at the same time, just as it is possible to be both Hispanic and black at the same time.

The difference is that the white Hispanic has European ancestry, while the black Hispanic has African ancestry. Then of course, we have Hispanics that are a blend of more than one race, i.e Mexicans, which are mainly mestizo-- a mixture of European blood and Indian/Aztec. And many Puerto Ricans, which are more of a mixture between African and European blood.

Therefore, as we can see from her physical appearance, Cameron Diaz most likely is a white Hispanic.

Hispanic is an ethnicity, not a race. There are white hispanics, black hispanics, mestizo hispanics, etc. Cameron Diaz is a white hispanic.

The question doesn't really make sense as Hispanics can be white (Caucasian) as well as any other Spanish speaking race. Hispanic is a cultural label, not a racial one.

pangea day is a global film event, like the cannes film festival. to be called an "actor" is a far better tribute to a thespian. and certainly ms diaz is one, altho she's every bit of a woman!

I´m SPANISH (Europe) and I´m blond , green eyes and 190 cms tall , I´m light years away to be a stereotipated "hispanic" there´re a lot of people like me in Spain , however when I´m going to USA (several times a year) nobody believe there are Hispanics like me!! , and when they ask me were is Spain they use to locate the country close to Mexico!! The question is stupid it self , if you travel more often you´ll find hispanics looking swedish in comparision with many caucasians like probably you.

albert einstein said of his theory of relativity that if it's good the jews and germans will be fighting to claim him. and if it doesn't fly, both will say he belongs to other. (i'm paraphrasing here, of course.) true is, he was both.

point is, i'm sure it's similar with cameron diaz, just depends on if they like her latest movie!

Cameron Diaz is half Cuban and half white. She is biracial but because she looks white, white people consider her white. But Hispanic people claim her as one of theirs. She also considers herself Hispanic. These are her own words:
"My Latin roots are very strong. All my life, because I'm blonde and blue-eyed, people who aren't Hispanic can't believe I am. And people who are Hispanic always think I'm not, because I don't look like them. Being Latin is part of who I am and I bring that part to every role."
