I am going to a party next week, and there is going to be a lot of "dancing." I know grinding isn't really dancing, but the kids at my school are really into it, and it's going to be the only kind of dance anyone is gonna be doing. I have never grinded before, and I don't want to look like a complete jerk that has no idea what he's doing. Basically, the first time I do it, I want to give the impression I've done it tons of times. Can anyone give me some advice on what I should do so I don't look stupid. You know, like what would the girl be expecting from me.

And on a side note, if a girl can feel that you're hard, do they like it or think its gross?

grinding is about moving to the music with some one else. so just go with the music

and about the hard comment: if she is trying to make you hard or likes you she might like it but other than that i doubt she will like it

First off the idea of grinding while dancing is soooo old school and if the kids at you school are just starting to do it then you all need to step into 2007. But anyways, grinding is rubbing against the person you are dancing with, its NOT dancing. You should try and watch some hip hop videos or Soul Train, or better yet, take a hip hop class. You'd be surprised at how many people take hip hop lessons.

First of all "gross"

Secondly, I think you could get away with standing still and grinning like you have diamonds on your teeth. Let your dance partner do all the grinding.
