Since I couldn't find the case for a CD of mine, I set it face down (shiny side up) on my dresser. Well, I put perfume on while it was there. Now, I have little dots on it. I tried water, soap, rubbing achohal, and hydrogen peroxide (sorry for spelling errors), and none of them were successful. What are some others ways to remove these marks?

I have found that the best and most harmless way to get off spots (mould, small scratches etc) from CDs is to squirt a pea sized blob of toothpaste on it, and rub gently all over with your finger. Then rinse it all off and dry the CD thoroughly. Works like a dream for me!

does it still play... if so don't worry the perfume has alchol in it and it is stained and if it doesn't play the you will need a new CD maybe you can get a copy from a friend or next time copy the cd and have a back-up for your favotitees ......

Use Brasso and a lint free free cloth polish from the center out in straight lines...if that doesn't fix it then ask your local video store who restores their DVDs and send the CD to them

There are cd cleaner's but sound's like you discolored the plastic. It's not dirty it is stained like a coffee table.Try and play ,if not discard it. Don't use all that junk you used on a cd.

With a sparkling comfortable fabric. working removed from the centre of the disk out to the perimeters like the spokes on a wagon wheel. It gets rid of any smudges or marks that are no longer in floor into the disk.

You can buy special stuff to clean your CD's with at any CD store. The stuff is great, and it also helps with scratches.
