Evaporation uses up heat. So when sweat evaporates from your skin, it uses up heat and you feel cooler.

I feel awful when I sweat. I just feel hot and sticky. Not cooler.

The perspiration on your body releases heat into the air as it evaporates, decreasing the temperature of your body. The heat from your body is released when you sweat, thus making you feel cool.

Because when you sweat it is your body's way of cooling its self and your pores open up allowing the water from your body to come out and cool the body. if not we would all die from being to hot.

The sweat is water that absorbs heat. As it absorbs enough heat it evaporates. The water is "stealing" heat from your skin and the transfer of heat from your body gives the sensation of cooling as your temp drops.
