According to the Motion Picture Association of America, the average person in the United States attended 5.7 movies in 2002.

I couldn't find any statistics for later years, and the report I found was released in 2004! If you want to look at more stats, type "movie attendance" into a search engine and you'll get a lot to choose from.

I don't go to the movies anymore. I just buy the DVD video when it comes out and watch it on my home theater system. Don't have rude people interrupting the movie that way.

Once every 2 week is good enough and i compare this week's release and last week's and make my pick.
If its dramas,or comedies , I ll watch it on DVD as its not worth the ticket price as there isnt much sound system effects involved.
