Whatever the reasons, the North Korea situation should have been looked at sooner. If it is true that they had a successful test of a nuclear device, then attacking them for any reason becomes far more dangerous for the countries around them.
Contrary to popular belief, i doubt very much that their weapon could reach the United States, maybe Hawaii, but South Korea is certainly an easy target.

Well N. Korea is much less a threat to us than say Iran. Iran is in the mix in Iraq, plus they aree supported by the other countries in the area Syria, Jordan, and others, They could be quite the problem for us and Israel. On the other hand you have N. Korea, quite isolated in the world community, no support other than China and even they wouldnt completely support them and their nuclear plans. N. Korea will do nothing, they are not as much a threat as you think

It's a big chess game with a mix of chicken. For starters, with a war in Iraq and Afghanistan(remember that one) we are starting to, if we haven't already, stretch ourselves to thin. The North Koreans aren't worth our attention unless they succeed to get the bomb. As long as they fail in that endevour we can bide our time dealing with more important matters. Like the wars we're dealing with now. Now you can see the need to get others to get involved like China and others in the region to hopefully take the job of keeping them busy.

North Korea is member of United Nations.U.S.A role as a member of UN to promote peace. Main issue is spreading of Atomic weapons which is dangerous to humanity. There is progress with North Korea. Iran has also to gain the confidence of world community. Please pray for world peace.

interesting inquiry but honestly it is pure speculation and wishful thinking. USA does not go around and attack each and every country that goes its own way in its domestic or foreign policy. that is number one as an answer. number two-- true USA is concerned about security but there is no reason to be overly concerned when talks and discussions and negotiations are still going on. that would not be good diplomacy. i do suggest you re-brush your politics 101. in all cases, i hope this answer helps.
