Hello! I am not a mechanic, and frankly i don’t have much knowledge about cars. I was asked to assess the demand in the market place for the Airbag and repair system. This website (www.airbagsolutions.com) has a complete database of specific steps and components that are required to repair the airbag system properly. Disregard the quality of the site, it is currently being redesigned. Can somebody please tell me if you will be willing to pay for this type of service and why? Is it helpful/useful? Thank you!

***Thank you for input. I think the word "rapair" got you a little confussed. This program tells you what exactly you need to REPLACE an airbag and where to look for that "hidden damage"

AW HELL NO!!!!

Why in the world would I want my air bags "repaired"???
IF they went off in the first place, that meant I was in an accident--I dont want "fixed" airbags...I WANT BRAND NEW!!!

Sounds fishy to me, don't buy it....

airbags are just another expensive part that when deployed makes it easier for insurance companies to total cheap cars rather than repair them.
I use the key off switch to disable the passenger bags in both my GMC Sierras and have contemplated pulling the fuse to disable the driver's bag.
I am not convinced that an airbag will save my life any more effectively than a seat belt and when they start using them in race cars then I would be inclined th change my opinion. On the contrary, I have seen the damage airbags can do to passengers, broken hands from throwing your hands up in a crash, flesh peeled off of faces, etc. I would much rather have some cracked ribs and some bruising from a steering wheel then having an airbag turning my face into ground beef.
AllData, Chiltons and dealer software has this information for professional mechanics. DIY'rs are asking for injury if they choose to repair these components themselves and many bodyshops will choose to send the airbag part of repairs to the dealer anyway. Why would I pay for a website for repairs that offers no guarantee of reliability or quality of service? That's what I pay my dealer for. Luckily, he is also my husband.

i own a repair shop, and air bags are one of those things that shouldn't be repaired they should be replaced, i wouldn't buy one of them, and i know my other competitors wouldn't either, that's one of those things that's better off being bought new,i don't think the market will do good on those, good luck,i hope this help,s.
