It depends on what system you're looking at. The video card depending on how many mb you want will cost anywhere from 50-100 dollars. The hard drive will already come with the system. If you want a larger hard drive you can upgrade. That cost is usually around 50-200 dollars depending on what size you want. I would get more for my money and get a custom built ASUS or INTEL motherboard you will me glad you did They have better upgrade capabilties and better warranty Chances are you will pay less and get more power And unlike Dell and others you can change the buss speed (this means a stronger cpu)

mate a dell!!!!! think about it if something is wrong with it when you first get it you cant just take it back and get a new one you have to send it back by post and then wait ages for them to repair or replace it and thats gonna cost you more money so my advice is get it from a shop at least if there is aproblem it SHOULDN'T take long to fix it.
