Right now I have a Cingular phone and before that Sprint. With both, I had great service and never any experience with roaming. Right now I'm looking into T-Mobile and I checked the coverage. For my area, it says that we are roaming. I checked the site to see what the charges for roaming were, and it's VERY very unclear. Not helpful at all.

I'm just wondering if switching now to T-Mobile would cost me a ton since I'd always be roaming. I also heard that when you are roaming, your free nights and weekends don't apply. Can anyone help any?? Thanks so much.

I believe that the roaming is free now, and you can roam all you want.

Note when you roam with TM you are using Cingulars Towers. And when using Cingular you are using TM Towers.

I like Sprint the best because when you roam with them, you are using Verizon's Towers.

I have T Mobile so maybe this will help. If you go to T Mobile, get there 1500 anytime minutes plain. It cost $10.00 a month more but can save you hundreds in roaming charges I live in an area where there is no service signel from T Molile, But my phone works here 90% of the time and I am not charged roaming charges. Check with T molile, their the best people and provide the best service I've had. They will work with you. Give them a call.

If you're roaming at your house, it's pretty unlikely that T-Mobile will even offer you service. You can try going into a store and seeing if they can help, but it's pretty unlikely. You might just be better off going with another carrier.
