How can people have the nerve to say this? its like saying 9/11 didnt happen either.

Oh, I was so ready to flame away, before I read the sub-question. I think people ask it for political reasons, because it benefits them in the culture or sub-culture or country in which they operate.

As a side note, though, I would compare it to Pearl Harbor, or something else in the same historical period. It's pretty hard to deny that 9/11 happened, because of the copious video. Holocaust deniers can rely upon a lack of real-time video. Yes, they admit that some Jews (perhaps others) were killed by some Germans, but they claim the numbers are exaggerated. And we don't have obvious, clear videos to point to to prove them wrong. Don't be confused, though, they are wrong--there is no debate, the evidence is overwhelming. But if there were live video feeds they would have a harder time denying.

9/11 has been investigated in depth. There is no need to pay attention to those who deny it. Two world wars have many sad stories of innocent killing of unarmed civilian including women and children. We must appreciate all those countries who after end of hostilities, opened a new chapter of peace and prosperity.EU is best example of this co-operation. This is no doubt a right approach.

Yes. It's too well documented from too many varying sources to have been faked. It also wasn't just a Jewish thing. Communists, gypsies, homosexuals, etc, basically anyone the Nazis determined weren't German enough, were used as slave labor if capable of it until too weak then killed. Even the Soviet Union, which actively persecuted Jews, has documentation on it. What is controversial is the number of Jews actually killed. It's probably not as high as cited in history books nor as low as the disbelievers cite - probably it's about halfway between.

Actually, the whole idea of the holocaust not happening sounds more like Nazi propaganda then anything else. Goebbels would have been proud.

I don't know. But I know one thing. As horrific as it was, its one of the most interesting parts of history. There's so many books and film and recounts of it all. Its baffling and amazing how this even happened. Hitler was a nobody and he took advantage of the strain the German people were feeling to lure them into his crazy ways. It started out slow and almost like a normal leader but obviously towards the end it got pretty clear that Hitler was driven by just the hate of those who were different from what he claimed was the 'perfect race'.
I hope WW2 is a lesson to everyone about giving people too much political power, and how we need to stick together as a country even when we disagree.

I remember watching concentration camp footage in my eighth grade history class. It was so horrifying to see the atrocities of what was done to these poor people that many students would occasionly leave in tears or vomiting. I agree that it still seems amazing that many Nazi sympathizers and anti-Semetic people denounce the Holocaust. I mean there it is documented proof with the stories of the survivors (those tatoos tell it all) and the horrible films of starved, skin and bones men carrying skeletons and emaciated bodies to large pits. It was REAL, way too real!

And then there are dental companies who make fake dental plates with fake teeth and they send tons of these to make piles of teeth with the gold missing and sometimes they put these plates into fake skulls which they made up to look like the skulls of victims and they pile these up in places for tourists.
