I'm an indian and I have pretty light skin for my legs, but I have dark, black hair. So when I shave it, my legs look bad because you can see the black hair roots. Is there anyway to make them less noticible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Shaving is the most effective to temporarily remove leg hair. It is quick, painless, and does work. Of course, the hair keeps on growing, so you have to do it again later on. It will NOT make your hair grow thicker or darker or anything else. It just keeps on growing. There are chemical depilatories, which is similar to shaving. Sometimes it gets a little deeper than shaving, but is the same thing. It can also remove the top layer of your skin, so test it first. The next alternative is waxing. This pulls the hair out from the roots. The hair usually grows back (some don't). It takes a lot longer. The tip of the new hair is soft and fine, and is not noticeable. It hurts, of course, but only for a short time. Also, you can get them lasered which tends to be more permanent. Some hairs grow back, so you need to do it again. It's quite expensive. And finally....you can just leave them alone, and not worry. It's only in the US that people worry about leg hair. We all have it... what's the big deal?

have you tried nair or another hair remover solution? Some kind of ingredient in it removes the hair follicle so you dont have stuble or any roots. It's like waxing but with out the hurt. There pretty cheap and you can find them in any drug or grocery store.

Try a hair bleaching cream to lighten the hairs on your legs. Or maybe you could use a depilitory lotion so that your hair won't grow back as fast.

waxing? it will pull the entire hair root out, so there there is no hair root..other wise, you can try a hair removal cream. it smells really bad when you put it on, but it does remove hair. Good Luck
