Easiest way to see, is if the gas cap is yellow. You can also take your VIN (vehicle identification number) to your dealership and ask them to run a report for you showing all the vehicle came with... this will include the info on whether or not your engine is "set up" to run Ethanol.

Having said that, I suggest you do some more research on ethanol. The hard facts are being hidden. Fact, ethanol has lower fuel economy numbers... it takes more to go the same distance. Fact, it actually costs more to refine the ethanol than it does to refine gasoline (something the government is having so much fun covering up) I am not slamming ethanol here, but until it can be refined at less cost, and provide a closer fuel economy, I wont waste my funds upon ethanol. (try living near an ethanol refinery and enjoy the stink of that)
Good luck.

Ethanol is gasoline mixed with ethanol in a small amount. Put some in and try it out. The adding of ethanol is to cut back on the reliance of foreign oil. Suppose to work in all cars. Better for the environment too.

You can look in your owners manual and find out.
If you put E85 in your truck, you will have problems if it isn't designed for E85. E85 is 85 percent ethanol. The problem is that the sensors and fuel metering are not set up for ethanol on a non flex fuel vehicle. It will cause rough running and a service engine soon or check engine light to come on.

well let me let you in on a little secret. this new ethanol thing goin on by gm is a big marketing scam. any and all gasoline motors can run on ethanol with no modifications. it doesnt matter if its a 07 gm or a 65 ford it will run just fine on pure ethanol, an ethanol gas mixture as well as pure hyrogen(though hydrogen is not recommened it can be very dangerous and more costly than gasoline) i use to run my 84 ford bronco on an ethanol gasoline mixture with no mods just completly stock

The absolutely free reverse vin check sites generally provide fake information. To get real information, money will have to be paid. The free searches provide fake information so they can get your email address to send spam.

Stay away from shady reverse vin check sites, most likely you won't get any information after you make the payment. Not to mention you won't get a report and you won't get an answer if you try to call for a refund. Stick with a reputable reverse vin check site like http://www.reversevincheck.net that has been around since 1995.
