Sometimes a wait for about three to four days might get it going again. Obviously the internal parts have been affected by moisture. To start right away might do more harm than good. What I would do is to place the iPod in a airtight canister with a few packets of silicon gels. Wait for a few days and try reconnect it. Good luck.

It's amazing that the nano still works. The water must of cause a reation that it still lives. If it's new, return it to the store and say it wasn't all of what you expected. Then, go to another store and buya new money!!!

I don't know if you can open them up, I'm sure you can...but you want to open it up and let it dry out. My crappy MP3 went through the washer and I did that and it eventually worked agian. But Rio's are like tanks and really easy to open up, I don't know about an Ipod.
