I was wondering if a 160 watt power supply would be enough to power a p4 with 384 mb of ram and a DVD-RW drive 1.44 floppy disk drive modem video card 32mb nvidia geforce2 mx200 video card. I was thinking about slapping a 300 watt power supply in it.
that model number is a 500LTD S/N 0025171229 I'm guess it the power supply that is in it right now the 160 watt would = a 240 watt maybe i'm wrong.

Yes, go for the larger power supply.. I think your video card specifies requirements for at least a 200 watt power supply, but with all the extra stuff you'll quickly need more.. especially if you add memory.

I'd slip in at least the 300W power supply... bigger if you can - that would allow for further expansion, usb devices, etc...
