It happens that women become pregnant and spontaneously abort very early on. But it is also quite normal for the menses to be thicker sometimes.
Don't worry too much about it. Some aspirin and a warm towel or heating pad on your tummy will help.

No, I don't think you did. A period is your body releasing the tssue that builds up in preparation for a child, and sometimes it does come out in clumps.
you'll find your periods change at times, especially as you start getting older, for no reason whatsoever.

Yes I agree with the larger that a quarter. Even if it wasn't, make an appointment tomarrow. Because if you were, you would probably have to go and get a D&C. That is when the dr. goes and cleans out your uterus after a miscarriage. If you don't, it could make you sick.
I am sorry you are having to go through this.

50% of all periods are miscarrages and we don't even know it.
due to heavier bleeding.
it's natures way of flushing out the not so perfect or bad eggs.
It's normal to have a heavy period if you had unprotected sex.
if this continues, please call the doctor Monday morning.
if this happens again next month-- see your doctor ASAP

Clotting, bloating, cramps, and back ache are all normal for menstruation. A miscarriage will have SERIOUS cramping, back ache, gray colored "clots", & BRIGHT red bleeding.

I've had clots before with no miscarriage. It just happens sometimes. I clotted a lot before the age of 24 (I started my period at age 12) after that, I only have had them occasionaly.

it depends...my dr told me that if i passed something that was bigger than a quarter then i would have miscarried(thankfully i got to carry my baby full term). so if it was bigger than that, then please go see your dr. even if it wasn't that big and you are worried about it...go see your dr anyway...better safe than sorry...and if by chance you did, you need to get cleaned out so that you don't get an infection. i wish you the best!!
