You are far from being fat, you are well within the normal weigth range for your height. Look more at the BMI, by what you told us I checked yours and your BMI is very good. Do NOT lose any weight because you don't have any weight to lose.
Underweight = <18.5
Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
Overweight = 25-29.9
Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater
Your BMI is 22.9 which is great
AL S who said she is 5'8" and 120lbs and said you should lose weight....her BMI is...18.2 she is underweight
Kayak Girl's BMI is 18.9....just above the normal range but still in there.....Kayak girl if someone ever says your are overweight slap them with a cheesburger.
Cronsteen your BMI is 29.3 just 30.0 will be considered obese for your height.
You can not say a person is fat just because the number on the scale is higher than yours. Your height plays a big part of it so does how your body carries the weight as well.

If you are 5'6 inches tall and you are 142 lbs you should not be worried about being fat. The taller you are the more lean you are.5'6 is not a bad height for someone that weighs as much as you do. You are at the perfect weight for your height so you should be pretty healthy.

Honey, 142 at 5'6" isn't fat. It's all in how you carry the weight. I'm 200lbs at 5'7" and no one believes me, not even the nurses when I go to the doctor's office. Some of it is muscle, some of it is fat, but you couldn't tell the fat for looking!
If you feel like you need to lose some weight, then get out and excercise, go running, do yoga, pilates, martial arts, ride a bike.
Fast, as you say you need, is not good for you.

No! You are NOT fat. Don't buy into the crap they feed women about how they are supposed to look. Men like women of all builds and sizes. You decide what you want and go for that. At 5'6", 142 lbs. is definitely NOT fat.

No, you are probably a little bit bigger than some of your friends, but that does not sound fat to me.
There really is not much you can do in two days, but if you want to lose weight, if you exercise more, you can probably lose some weight in time for summer.

You aren't going to lose a significant amount of weight in two days. Sorry. It doesn't work that way. Make a plan to eat right and exercise and you'll be absolutely stunning by next Valentine's Day.

No, you're not fat. If you wanted to lose it by valentines day you would have to exercise for 24 hours straight until Wednesday.

I'm about the same and I'm not fat, I'm healthy and my husband loves all of me.
If who ever your Valentine is can't love you for what you are then he does not need to be your Valentine. So keep it and if you want to loose some of it do it at your own speed because crash dieting is not healthy.
Keep your head up Girly.

You may have a few extra pounds on you, but I don't think youwould be considered fat. It's impossible for you to lose weight in time for V-day, but try to eat healtheir snacks instead of other things. To see how many calories and fat are in the foods you're eating, go to http://www.calorieking.com/foods. =]
