Call Microsoft Xbox Support toll free number at the link below.
Explain your problem and they either can help you to fix it, or they will tell you how you can send it in for a free repair if its still under warranty or how to get it repaired correctly.

To all people saying buy a PS3, you suck. And back to the question. You might have the one of the earlier versions of the Xbox 360s. Call xbox support and they usually ask for the serial number and they can then tell you. You may have to send it back but I would do this as soon as possible because the warranty may be running out. I bought my 360 over the summer and it has worked fine so far. Hope you get it fixed because I don't know I could live without my Xbox.

if its still under warranty (which it probly is b/c microsoft extended all warranties to a full year) then just send it back to them and they'll replace it with a new system. If you bought it right when it was released, then alot of them had problems with them and nowadays the systems are being made better and experiencing less problems...so i'd just send it back to the manufacturer.

thats a common problem with x-box360's. its when they build it in the factories. thats why i perfered to get the ps3. its so amazing. u could get it fixed from a gamestore for i think 70 bucks. but ur probably gonna have to keep getting it fixed. theirs many problems with x-boxs. i had a x-box but i sold it cuz it kept over heating.
