In theory, Yes! but the pump may suck hot water from the cylinder faster than it fills and you will draw air, and get cavitation. You may need to take a tapping off at the top of the cylinder. A separate hot feed is always better.

Hi. You can take the hot water feed from the cylinder. With a power shower you will need to ensure that both the hot and cold supplies are of equal pressure. If you have a mains cold supply and not tank fed then you may need to govern your cold water down. There is a possibility that the cold water would prevent the delivery of your hot at the mixer from being sufficient to shower under, ( lack of temperature ). If your cold water is tank fed then your pressures will be equal. The hot water connection can be taken from the draw-off on your cylinder or as best practise a 1/3rd to 1/4 from the top of the cylinder. This is usually achieved through the fitting of an Essex flange. The type of arrangement will ensure that if the delivery is slow you will be prevented from scalding and losing all your cold water.
