Every state has a different age that you can get your drivers-permit. I got mine when I was 14, and I had to drive for atleast 6 months with an adult before I could drive by myself..but I drove until I was 16 with an adult, since you had to be 16 to drive legally by yourself.

In michigan you can get a drivers permit at the age of 14 yrs and 9 months and at 16yrs you legally can drive

i live up in canada eh and on my 16 birthday i got mine, ( and it was for a fancy vehicle to not a dog sled)
