We used to make boffer swords out of broomsticks covered in foam pipe insulation and shields from scrap plywood with leather handles screwed on, and form teams or just free for alls and whale the living daylights out of each other in a 70's form of Amtgard or SCA. Anything was potentially a weapon, from basketballs to rocks to snowballs. It's kinda amazing none of us ever got seriously hurt - beyond an occasional black eye or nasty bruise - but it did provide a good solid foundation of swordplay basics that some of us built on and strengthened when we grew up.

Red Rover, Tag, Hide & Seek. We had a big grassy hill near our house and in the winter go sledding down it, in the summer, slide down on cardboard!

We lived near the woods, so we would pretend that we were wild children, like the lost boys from peter pan. But hide and go seek is my all time favorite, especially outside, right at twilight.

hide and seek,my neighbor lived in this big house and when they would go on vacation her family would let her grandmother take care of it,so she would let all the kids from the neighborhood go in and play hide and seek in the dark while she was not there, and there were so many spots to hide since they had this huge backyard with trees and bushes,it was my favorite cuz we would try to scare each other while trying to hide

Hide and Go Get "It"

A very ghetto version of hide'n seek and played the same way but while hiding little girls and little boys who have crushes on each other hide together and kiss, grind or feel on each other. lol

Hide and Go Seek, hands down. Come on- there's the mystery of "where is everybody?", the thrill of being "it", and the suspense of being hunted. It's like peek-a-boo, all grown up.
