What do you want to do? If you want to play games against each other through system link, you need a crossover ethernet cable.
Furthermore you both need an original Xbox game like Halo 2. On the Xbox 360 you need a Haddrive, or else you can't play original Xbox games on 360.

Just connect both consoles with the crossover ethernet cable (its important to get a crossover ethernet cable. A standard cable will not work this way).

The same is true for a connection to your PC. On the PC run Windows XPs Internet Connection Sharing wizard to let the Xbox connect to the Internet and Xbox Live.

However I strongly recommend getting a router to connect both Xboxes and the PC into a network with standard ethernet cables, so all devices can get to the internet without problem.

Through a network would be Xbox Live so I think you may be talking about system linking? Where you can link up to 4 Xboxs together and play all together. To do that you need an adapter. Go to xbox.com for that. If your talking about going onto xbox live on 2 differnt xboxs then you will need either 2 network adapters but it sounds like you already have 1. You can't use only 1 network adapter, you will have to buy a second or use an ethernet cord. Ethernet cords work better because network adapters can cause lag during games. Hope I helped.
