Why do people think that it is worse piercing your lip or nose, etc. than piercing your ears? It's like the same thing!

I agree, there is no difference. It's like people who say that women should be pierced, but not men. Why, exactly?

I think that if people would stop putting boundaries on acceptance of people based on appearance, we would get a hell of a lot more done in this world. Most of us agree that it's wrong to judge someone because of the color of their skin or their gender, but why is it ok to deny someone a job because of a hole in their body?

I wonder if people are afraid a man's brain will leak out of the holes in his ears... or perhaps your intelligent will seep from your nose or your lip, or your eyebrow. Never, mind that people who are pierced show dedication and focus - it's very difficult to heal a body piercing - it takes a lot of work and patience. But never mind that, because people would rather be children who say, "eww, icky."

Grow up folks.

I'm with the mutilation idea. Many otherwise pretty girls go and pierce their faces. A facial piercing differs from ears in that the ears are relatively remote to the face, while this other "jewelry" is right there in plain sight.

it's easier to get infection on your mouth and nose than you're ears. more germs are near place where there is movement of air. and the older crowd thinks it's some sort of multilation to the body. or it could be it hurts more than ear piercing. take your pick. but if you like it, then it's ok.

honestly when I had my piercings (two in the tongue one in the lip ears and nose)

the one that hurt most was my ears. they always became infected. anyway it depends on the person who gets it, and how sensitive and how man nerves are in the area. my tongue piercings felt awesome though!

Not really, because some area of the body are more sensitive to pain than others.
