my cd burner is not working?

For some reason, my burner isnt working, ive tried to burn a cd with three different programs (itunes, nero, and windows media player), none work. Can anybody help me in any way?

First go to device manager and make sure your burner is working OK.

Next try downloading and installing the latest driver for your burner.

Make sure you are using CD-R media

Try a different brand of media.

Try what Norm recommended, but I'll bet it's dead. Many of these don't have real long life spans in my experience at home and work. You'll likely need a new one.
