how come the police and justin timberlake are the only two who actually have sung for real so far? ridiculous that beyonce didnt sing, and am sure christina aguilera will lip sync also..... r&b performers appear scared to actually perform.....

I know a lot of people don't do it beacuse they dance and w/ dancing and preformig they would be out of breath....however I think if your a "SINGER" you should really sing and take it easy on the other stuff.

It seemed like everyone was singing live...at least every performance that I actually saw. And to the Justin Timberlake hater, sorry we don't have the great musical taste that you have.

ROFL Christina Aguilera almost never lip-syncs.
And take a look at her previous performances at the Grammy Awards, they were all live.
Last year she even sang "A Sonf For You" with Herbie Hancock.

In showbusiness, especially singing business, there are two ways to pay an artist to perform. Pay low (lip sync), or pay high (actually sings). But some artists that can actually sing don't give lip sync in their option. They always sing.

I don't think the Police sung..if you have DVR or Tivo, rewind it to the part when the lead singer is holding his last long note. You see him start to talk to someone while the record is still playing..

If you call what Justin Timberlake does "singing"...
I think he's a no-talent overgrown mouseketeer, that some obviously think is good, since he sells LOTS of so-called 'music'.
Some singers may be nervous they might do a "Jessica Simpson" at the Kennedy Honors, and seek to avoid it by lip-sync-ing.
