For memoirs, I liked Augusten Burroughs, if you don't mind that he's gay. But if you're looking for a book that will make milk shoot out your nose while you're laughing, may I recommend my ALL-TIME FAVORITE author, Christopher Moore. Each and every book he's written, is LOL hilarious. My personal favorite is "A Dirty Job", but I also loved "Island of the Sequined Love Nun", "The Stupidest Angel" - a heartwarming tale of Christmas terror, "Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal", and his newest book, "You Suck! A love story." You can't go wrong with Christopher Moore. Enjoy! =)

"To Kill a Mockingbird" is a memoir written by Harper Lee about her father in the character of Atticus Finch and is very enlightening about the late 20's and 30's and the south's attitude toward race. It is also an entertaining book, written from the perspective of a young girl - 'Scout' aka Jean Louise Finch.

The book is better than the movie, although the movie is very true to the book. The movie doesn't have all the characters in it, nor does it have the background and storyline of some of the characters it shows.

A wonderful memoir...Memoirs of a Geisha is an incredibly written book! I loved it. Went well with the movie. Of course the movie romanticized the ending, but for the most part is was pretty accurate :-)
