Well, I think that we all must be a little grateful that we are not as narrow minded and judgemental as you. And we also must be very jealous that your life is so full, and ours is not.

Judging them on their choice of entertainment is honestly more sad than the person minding his own business and just enjoying the internet. You have made far too many assumptions on this person, solely based on a single characteristic. If we did the same with you,we might ***-u-me that you are nosy and judgemental. Some may even think self righteous. Let us hope that he or she ignores your defimation of character and continues on their pursuit of knowledge, or just for their enjoyment. It goes to show you don't seem to understand the whole intent behind yahoo answers. The more points you have, the more access and choices you recieve. So it is actually smarter to answer as many as you can to build up points before you start asking as much, because at 20,000 the asking and answering is unlimited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No because they could've went on Yahoo! Answer on their spare time, and accumulated 20,000 answers over time. They could be really happy and have a busy life.
Like, for instance me.... I'm very busy and I know soon, from being on Yahoo! Answers a little a day (or a little a week) that I'll soon reach 20,000 answers. Now when I do, am I considered a person who is sad and boring? No.

nope, I do not agree. Everyone has their reasons for being on Answers; would you rather they were outside in a high speed chase, or got drunk in a bar and killed someone on the way home? Of maybe they live such an exciting life that they go to a "rave" and OD on something someone slipped into their drink...

I really hate this use of the word sad. That said, you rank higher in the sad ratings than the 20000 answers person just for asking this question. Are you 12?

Perhaps they are retired, and have no family.
Perhaps they are disabled and unable to work.
Perhaps they are lonely.
There is nothing wrong with using this site, and to query and ridicule someone elses reason for using it is not fair.
Those answers may have given a lot of comfort to the questioner and the people that read them.

Hmmm . . . not necessarily. Maybe they're just rich or something! I have over 20000 POINTS, but 20000 questions is a lot more than I've answered. I'm certainly not rich. Good night!

No, I wouldn't agree -- if you work nights like I do answering questions makes the time easier

If that is what the person wants to do it cannot be sad. But it does seem boring to me.
